Influencer Hailey Welch’s newly launched meme coin, $HAWK, experienced a dramatic rise and fall, capitalizing $500 million before crashing to almost nothing.

Hailey Welch herself was not named in the lawsuit but Alex Schultz, who also goes by Doc Hollywood, is now a defendant and has been named as the promoter of the coin who held and sold it illegally.
The lawsuit has named: Tuah The Moon Foundation, which was used to handle money taken in from the sale of the meme coin, and the coin’s creator, OverHere Ltd and its executive, Clinton So and the meme coin’s Los Angeles-based promoter, Alex Larson Schultz.
After being launched on December 4, the meme coin cryptocurrency by Hailey Welch lost over 95% of its value in a single day.
According to the investors’ attorneys, this occurred as a result of the Hawk Tuah cryptocurrency memecoin being illegally promoted and sold on her podcast. Tuah The Moon Foundation, which handled proceeds from the meme coin’s sale, the coin’s developer, OverHere Ltd., and its CEO, Clinton So, as well as the meme coin’s promoter, Alex Larson Schultz, of Los Angeles, were named in the case, according to reports by media.
According to the lawsuit, the token’s aggressive marketing activities drove its market value to soar shortly after introduction before plummeting shortly after.
Alex Schultz who is also known as Doc Hollywood is now a defendant in the lawsuit, Hailey Welch was not listed. According to Bitcoin.com News, Howie Mandel’s son-in-law, Schultz, served as Welch’s cryptocurrency mentor and advocated for the meme coin’s introduction. Schulz “controlled all token decisions, fees, and treasury.”

According to the court complaint, the Tuah Foundation sold 17% of its tokens to a group of people after the $HAWK coin launched in order to circumvent securities law.
According to the lawsuit, the dealers made “no serious attempt” to make sure the coins being bought were outside of the United States and kept promoting the remaining 83% of the coins even after the coins were sold.
Response from Hailey Welch’s team
Hailey Welch’s team has now accused Alex Larson Schultz, also known as Doc Hollywood, of controlling all token decisions, fees, and treasury, according to a statement.
