Who Is Divya Negi?
The 23-year-old was born in 1999 and hails from Sonar Village in the Thauldhar block of Tehri district, Uttarakhand. She is the daughter of retired SBI head cashier Jagath Singh Negi and Sushila Devi. Divya is the fifth child (and youngest daughter) of her parents out of six children.
Divya Negi’s Education
She did her elementary education at Green Hill Public School, Kandikhal Tehri. After that, her parents relocated to Deharadun, where Divya attended the secondary section of Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Talab Branch, Dehradun, for her classes 9 and 10.
After her 10th year, Divya felt drawn towards the humanities and changed schools. She went to the SGRR Public School Race Course in Dehradun, where she completed her 11th and 12th grades.
Later, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from SGRR PG College in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Divya Negi’s Career
At the moment, Divya is working with the district administration of Udham Singh Nagar under the NITI Aayog’s aspirational district collaboration programme as part of her Gandhi fellowship.
According to Divya’s interview with Ghughuti, she has a career interest in public policy and governance and wants to become a consultant and strategist. She is also active in her social work and is a member of the SOCH organisation.
