Unfortunately, something similar happened again but in India. On Sunday, the nasty side of the beautiful game emerged in Malappuram, a city famous for its love and ardour for football.
During a five-a-side game in Chemrakattur in the area, an African football player was being racially abused and harassed by a group of people.
The assault was captured on camera, and football player Diarrassouba Hassane reported the scary incident to the chief of the Malappuram district police once it became viral. As Hassane was playing in India, he was called by some spectators “f****ng African monkey” and “Black Cat” and was stoned, according to his complaint.

The report additionally states that at around six o’clock on Sunday night, he was also assaulted by members of the other team’s administration and fans.
Hassane Junior is seen scampering on the ground and is being pursued by several individuals in the viral video. However, other onlookers said that the football player’s kick to one of them was the catalyst for the whole thing. The incident is being monitored and the investigation is underway as of now.

Diarrassouba Hassane Junior is a 22-year-old footballer from Adjane in Ivory Coast born on December 20, 2001. He plays for the local club Newlala Pookolathur. The player stands 1m 64 tall. Hassane has earned four international caps so far among which, the first one came last year against Senegal on January 14.
