Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar holds positions in Hockey India and the Association of Mixed Martial Arts in Madhya Pradesh.
Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar, who holds the position of the president of central India hockey association, had been entrusted with the responsibility of associate vice president in the executive board by hockey India in 2021. While he was born on 17 January, his DOB isn’t known.
His father Narendra Singh Tomar (born 12 June 1957) is an Indian politician and a member of the 17th Lok Sabha and is the incumbent Minister of Agriculture while his mother Kiran is a housewife.
He has filed a police complaint, denouncing the videos as fake.
On Tuesday, the Union minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, spoke out about the controversy, labeling the “fake video” as the work of the Opposition. He asserted that this was a carefully planned conspiracy to mislead the public during elections. Tomar demanded an investigation by CFSL agencies to uncover the truth and expose the alleged conspiracy.
In the video released by the Congress, Jagmandeep who is a resident of Canada introduces himself as a blueberry and marijuana farmer. He alleges that he used to provide cash to BJP leader and former Akali Dal Delhi MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
Jagmandeep claims that Sirsa would then transfer the cash through wire transactions to the minister’s son, Devendra.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, former chief of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee revealed that he believes he’s being targeted due to his press conferences against Kamal Nath. He sees this as an effort to tarnish the Gurdwara Committee’s image.
Sirsa alleges that the Congress is against the Sikh community, especially because he consistently raises issues related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. He denies any illegal money transactions and intends to send legal notices to Congress leaders who circulated the video.
Narendra Singh Tomar, who hasn’t contested an Assembly election in over a decade is up against the current MLA Ravindra Singh Tomar in Dimani. In 2018, Girraj Dandotiya of the Congress won the seat but later joined the BJP during Jyotiraditya Scindia’s defection. In the subsequent bypoll, Dandotiya, now with the BJP, lost to Ravindra of the Congress by 26,467 votes.
