According to sources, K Kavitha, the MLC for Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), is set to likely testify as a government witness in the ongoing money laundering case involving the Delhi excise policy.
It’s reported that approximately 15 members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are also considering testifying on behalf of the government in this matter. This development comes following the recent arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday night.

Due to Kavitha’s involvement in the liquor policy case, she was arrested on March 15 after a protracted interrogation and raid at her Hyderabad home. She did, however, dispute her arrest in relation to the money laundering claims arising from the Delhi excise policy case with the Supreme Court on March 18.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) allegedly confiscated five cell phones during the search of Kavitha’s home. Witnesses at the scene reported that Kavitha first opposed the probe, even after the ED delivered the search warrant. However, after a little wait, the search finally started.
This legal action unfolded nearly two months after the ED issued a summons to the 45-year-old BRS MLC. In relation to this matter, Kavitha was questioned three times last year, and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) was used to record her comments.
She denied any misconduct and charged that the BJP was behind the ED’s moves, claiming they couldn’t gain power in Telangana legally. He got married to K Kavitha in 2003. The couple became the parents of two children named Devanapalli Anil Aaditya, and Devanapalli Anil Aarya.
His wife is the daughter of K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the former Telangana chief minister. She has been associated with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi political party. Since 2020, K Kavitha has held the office of MLC from Nizamabad. From 2014 until 2019, she served as a member of parliament for the Nizamabad Lok Sabha Constituency.
