Reactions of netizens

One person reacted to the video on X, platform formerly known as Twitter, saying: “I love you girl but suspensions are expensive.”

“This is what happens when the media normalizes obesity. She should have gone to the gym, not the lawyer’s office,” another one added.

According to reports, Dank Demoss’ attorneys have claimed that weight is a “protected characteristic” in Michigan.

Blanding’s lawyer Jon Marko said: “It would be no different than a driver pulling up and saying “I don’t want to have Black people in my car” or “I don’t want to have Christians in my car or Muslims in my car”. Under the law, it’s the same.”

Her other attorney Zach Runyan added: ‘”Refusing someone transportation based on their weight is not only illegal, but dangerous.”
