The youngster, who plays as a right-handed batter and right-arm fast bowler, initially made his debut earlier this month against PBKS. However, the match was called off, and his debut became invalid.
Madhav Tiwari makes IPL debut
Delhi Capitals picked Madhav Tiwari for ₹40 lakh during the IPL 2025 mega auction. Though he was included in the playing XI for a previous match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), the rain-abandoned game meant he didn’t get a proper chance to show his skills. Now, in a game that could decide Delhi’s fate, Tiwari finally gets a shot to prove his mettle.

Madhav Tiwari is a young and upcoming Indian cricketer who was born on September 28, 2003, in Mauganj, Madhya Pradesh. He started out on his cricketing journey at the age of eight after former Ranji player Kushal Chourey spotted his talents. Tiwari initially trained at Amay Khurasiya’s Cricket Academy and made his name in age-group cricket with consistent performances.

Madhav Tiwari is currently 21 years old as of 2025, and stands at a height of 5′ 9″ (175 cm).
Career and stats
After making his way up the youth academy, Madhav Tiwari gained prominence after leading the Indore Under-18 team. While playing for them, Tiwari smashed a double century in one of the championship games. Madhav also starred as the top wicket-taker during the Senior Division MK Bhaya Trophy.
Madhav also played in the Madhya Pradesh T20 League 2024, representing the Bhopal Leopards. Tiwari scored 72 runs at a strike rate of over 200 and also took three wickets in the process. Following his success, he went on to play for Madhya Pradesh at the Under-19 and Under-23 levels. Notably, he has scored two centuries and an 83-run knock during the Col. CK Nayudu Trophy (U-23) back in the 2024-25 season.
