Just recently, a Kendriya Vidyalaya teacher from Jehanabad, Bihar, Deepali Shah, posted a video of herself verbally abusing Bihar and its people. The video has since gone viral across social media, sparking all kinds of outrage and reactions from netizens. In the video, Deepali, who is a resident of West Bengal, expresses her strong displeasure over her posting in Jehanabad. Deepali stated the following in the video:
Why were we posted in a district like Jehanabad? We could have been sent to Ladakh, Goa, South India, or other states. Why here?”
She also went on to use offensive language about the state of Bihar and its natives. Through her comments, she was trying to insinuate how she views Bihar as a backward state and is extremely dissatisfied with her current posting in the state.
School Principal speaks out
Following the viral incident, Ravindra Ram, who is the Kendriya Vidyalaya principal in the school where Deepali Shah was posted, issued a statement. In the statement, he stated that Deepali considers the situation a personal matter and has refused to comment on it. However, he added that he has reportedly informed other senior authorities about the situation and will take necessary action.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey has seemingly taken the matter seriously and ordered an investigation to verify the video’s authenticity. The district administration stated that they would take appropriate action against Deepali Shah if the allegations against her are proven true. As of now, the inquiry is still underway, and it will determine the next steps regarding her behavior and remarks.
