Yastremska achieved rapid success on the WTA Tour after finishing second in both the singles and doubles categories of a junior Grand Slam competition. At the age of eighteen, she made her top 100 debut and won two titles, her first coming from the Hong Kong Open in 2018.

Both of Yastremska’s parents Marina and Alexander Yastremsky, a former volleyball player, have assisted her in her coaching career; her mother has remained as her mental coach. She also has a sister named Ivanna Yastremska who is aix year’s younger and plays tennis.
