In light of a recent social media incident involving the brandishing of a pistol, Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has been slapped with yet another ban from the organization. Morant has experienced suspension for this activity twice since March.

The Grizzlies stated on May 14 that Morant would miss all of the team’s operations while the league conducted its investigation. The suspension followed the release of an Instagram Live clip in which Morant and his friend Davonte Pack were momentarily seen inside a car with guns.
Notably, his friend Pack was previously prohibited from going to Grizzlies home games at FedEx Forum because of an incident that occurred on January 29. During a game against the Pacers, Morant’s father, Tee, and Pack, who was seated courtside, engaged in a verbal altercation with several Pacers players.
Damichael Cole of The Commercial Appeal in Memphis reported that Pack was escorted off the floor. Additionally, following the game, Morant’s friends aggressively accosted Pacers travelers close to the team bus in the FedExForum loading area.
Notably, the NBA spokesperson, Mike Bass, did not explicitly mention Pack’s name in the statement. After that, Morant tweeted that the NBA had barred his brother from attending home games for a year. Pack quoted Morant’s tweet, asserting that all the information in the report was false.

Davonte Pack is well-known for being a close friend of Ja Morant, a well-known American professional basketball player. He has been in the news because he was involved in a social media incident, due to which Ja Morant is facing a ban.
He is a resident of Sumter, S.C., and earned his high school diploma in 2017. While his DOB isn’t known, he is aged between 20-25 years.
Davonte Pack shares a longstanding connection with Grizzlies guard Ja Morant, having played AAU basketball together for the South Carolina Hornets alongside current Pelicans forward Zion Williamson.
Notably, in a widely recognized photo of their AAU team, Pack can be seen on Morant’s left, sporting a No. 7 jersey. Pack has also made a name for himself as the founder of the brand “MBNO” (My Brothers, No Others), which Morant has been spotted wearing to games.
A serious incident occurred after the Pacers vs Grizzliesgame when a red laser was pointed at the Pacers from an SUV. This caused the Pacers staff to feel “in grave danger,” when the players and coaches were getting on the bus. This led to an investigation by the NBA, which resulted in Davonte Pack being banned from the FedEx Forum. However, according to the report, Morant was driving the SUV.
