On April 30, 1960, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, the United States, David Miscavige was born as a twin. He has Polish-Italian ancestry but is an American citizen. In their Catholic family in Willingboro Township, New Jersey, David and his twin sister Denise spent their formative years together. Along with one other sibling, he also has an older brother named Ronald Miscavige Jr.
David Miscavige participated in baseball and football as a child. He, however, had severe allergies and asthma. After trying conventional medicine without success, his father sought the advice of a Scientologist, whose 45-minute dianetics session cured all of his ailments. In 1971, David’s family switched from the Catholic church to the Church of Scientology as a result.
They were so committed to the faith that they moved to Saint Hill Manor in England and settled within the church’s main building.
David’s enthusiasm for Scientology increased so quickly that the next year, at the age of 12, he started leading auditing sections and became the organization’s youngest auditing professional. But after a while, his family went back to Pennsylvania. He then registered for secondary school at Marple Newtown in Delaware County.

The Father of David Miscavige
The father of David is Ronald Miscavige. When he was looking for treatments for his ailments, he was the one who initially introduced him to Scientology. From 1970 to 2012, Miscavige Sr. was a Scientology adherent. He co-wrote Ruthless: Scientology, My Son David Miscavige, and Me with Dan Koon after leaving the organisation. The book, which was released in May 2016, included a detailed account of his 42 years of personal religious experience. It also detailed his son’s ascent to senior positions inside the religion and their subsequent estrangement after his cult-related escape.
Spouse and Kids
Michelle Diane, a fellow Sea Org member better known by her stage name Shelly Miscavige, and David Miscavige got married. Shelly continued to be Miscavige’s assistant and a loyal Scientologist up until 2005 when she stopped appearing in public.
At her father’s burial in August 2007, Shelly made her last public appearance, sparking reports of her abduction. Her whereabouts remain shrouded in secrecy and gloomy disputes. While some think she may have left the church and eloped, others think the church must have imprisoned her somewhere, perhaps in “The Hole,” which is said to be a place of detention and torture for disobedient members.
Leah Remini, a former Scientologist and actress, reported Shelly missing to the Los Angeles Police Department, but no concrete information came out of the investigations.
Furthermore, many Church of Scientology spokespersons have repeatedly refuted reports of her disappearance by citing reasons such as leading a private life or devoting her time to the church.
Meanwhile, a number of people have claimed that David Miscavage and his wife Shelly reportedly did not have a romantic relationship. The couple is without kids.
Career in Scientology
A few years before finishing high school, in 1976, David Miscavige moved from Pennsylvania to Clearwater, Florida. He joined one of Ron Hubbard’s (the founder of the Scientology movement) organisation there- the Sea Org.
He began working as Hubbard’s assistant the next year. Miscavige assumed leadership of the Commodore’s Messenger Organization (CMO) in 1979. It is a division of the church whose duties primarily involve upholding Hubbard’s laws and regulations within each Scientology organisation. Ron Hubbard began functioning as Miscavige’s agent around 1980, as the latter began to appear far less frequently at public events after that. He thereby rose to lead nearly all of the groups and organisations within the Scientology command.
To manage the finances of Scientology, Miscavage founded the Religious Technology Center and Author Services Inc. in 1982. David Miscavige became the only leader of the Scientology Church after L. Ron Hubbard passed away in 1986, acting as the ultimate steward of the church’s doctrines and practises.
He began building and renovating church locations in significant global cities in 2003. So far, he has been successful in doing so in roughly 65 cities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Taiwan, Israel, Italy, Mexico, and Spain. In March 2018, he subsequently introduced the Scientology Network, a platform for him to interact with his countless global followers.
Miscavige has been involved in a number of problems during his more than three decades as the church’s leader, including claims of physical assault, brutality and tyranny, wrongful detention, and other unethical acts.
Net Worth
At this time, the media is not aware of David Miscavige’s exact net worth. This is due to the religious leader’s strong adherence to financial secrecy.
A lot of well-known and wealthy Hollywood celebrities, including Tom Cruise, Juliette Lewis, Elisabeth Moss, and others, are said to be supporters of Scientology, which Miscavige leads.
