Welsh broadcaster Polly James, formerly known as Polly Lake, was born in 1986 or 1987 on November 28 in Cardiff, Wales. The 37-year-old has presented for Absolute Radio.
A look at Polly James’ career
Polly James began her broadcast career at Afan FM and other local radio stations. She began her career in radio in the early 2010s, hosting an overnight show on Absolute Radio after working for Nation Radio Wales. In 2013, she moved to Capital South Wales.
She moved to Radio X when her Capital South Wales breakfast show (with Matt Lissack) was cancelled in 2019 as part of Capital’s reorganisation. In 2019, she made appearances on Friday and Saturday nights on Radio X. She has presented on social media for Unibet and covered sports like boxing, rugby, football, and darts as a sports broadcaster.
James has worked as a DJ for Capital, Absolute Radio, and Radio X. Legendary vocalist Tom Jones and Gerwyn Price were two of Polly James’s favourite radio guests.
