According to NFL.com, Kamara’s lawyers Richard Schonfeld, David Chesnoff, and Drew Findling issued the following statement:

The State has avoided a contested preliminary hearing by indicting Mr. Kamara, He intends to vigorously fight the allegations at trial as he was defending himself and others at the time of the incident.”

The alleged crime reportedly took place over the 2022 Pro Bowl weekend, and Kamara and other defendants were detained in Vegas last year. Shortly, the NFL will decide after continuing to assess the issue.

Greene allegedly told Las Vegas Metro police that on the morning of February 5, 2022, he was waiting for an elevator when Kamara allegedly put his hand on Greene’s chest to keep him from entering.

Greene claimed Kamara pushed him aside before being forcefully pressed. Before losing consciousness, the alleged victim said that he was then attacked and kicked by many others. Kamara was recognised as one of the attackers by the victim.

Greene filed a civil lawsuit in Louisiana demanding $10 million in damages and a jury trial after the incident, according to the police report, and he reportedly sustained an orbital fracture in his right eye.

Although the league awaits the outcome of the legal proceedings before taking any punishment against Alvin Kamara, he was not suspended for any games this season.

The New Orleans Saints selected Kamara with the 67th overall choice in the 2017 NFL Draft after he played college football for Tennessee.

Initially, Alvin Kamara had a four-year, $3.8 million entry-level rookie contract. However, in September 2020, the New Orleans Saints and Kamara reached an agreement on a new five-year, $75 million deal with a $15 million signing bonus, $33 million in guaranteed money, and an average annual salary of $15 million.
