Jaydon Blue is a young and upcoming professional American football player who was born on January 8, 2004, in Houston, Texas. He grew up in a very supportive family and often credits his father, Velton Gardner, for nurturing his talent and also for instilling a relentless work ethic. Meanwhile, his mother also plays a very supportive role, helping him focus on his personal and athletic development from behind the scenes.

As a high school student, Jaydon quickly made a name for himself in both football and track. During his junior football season, he scored a historic 2,155 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns on just 227 carries. He averaged a 9.5 yards per attempt and earned awards like the All-America, all-state, and two-time all-district honors. Despite his success, he decided to take a chance and opted to forgo his senior high school season.
As a result of his decision, he joined the University of Texas, where he had a limited freshman season. He registered a total of 15 carries for 33 yards, and then in his sophomore year, he underwent a substantial improvement as he scored 398 yards and three touchdowns on 65 carries. In his junior year, Blue rushed for 710 yards and eight touchdowns on 126 carries. He also caught 36 passes for 298 yards and four scores that same season.

During the 2024 regular season, Jaydon Blue rushed a total of 710 yards on 126 carries. He also scored a total of eight rushing touchdowns that season. He also scored a total of 36 receptions for 298 receiving yards alongside four receiving touchdowns. Jaydon’s biggest highlight came during the Peach Bowl against Clemson, where he scored a 77-yard touchdown run. During his time in high school, he earned multiple All-America and all-state honors. he also ranked as a four-star recruit in the class of 2022.
