Daizen Maeda is a Japanese professional footballer who was born on October 20, 1997, in Osaka Japan. He got his early education at the Yamanashi Gakuin High School, and he is currently 25-years-old.
Maeda currently plays as a winger or a forward for the Scottish Premiership club Celtic FC wearing the #25 jersey. He joined Celtic this year after his stint with the Portuguese club C.S. Marรญtimo, which he joined back in 2019. He is currently single and unmarried.

Maeda started his professional career by joining J-League side Matsumoto Yamaga FC back in 2016. He made his debut for Matsumoto Yamaga FC that same year. Maeda scored his first professional goal on August 28, 2016, against Tokuyama University during an Emperor’s Cup match.
He then went on to join C.S. Maritimo on loan in 2019, making his debut for the team on August 11, 2019, against Portuguese side Sporting CP. In the next match against CD Tondela, Maeda scored his debut goal although the team lost 3-2. He then made a brief stint with Yokohama F. Marinos, before making his move there permanent.
Maeda had a prolific season with the Marinos, scoring 23 goals in the 2021-22 season. He eventually signed up with Scottish side Celtic on loan that same season, where he played the rest of the season. Earlier this year in January, Maeda made his move to Celtic permanent with a four-year contract.
