Vibhu Upadhyay’s devotion to Ganga Maiya has been an integral part of his journey since 2019, when he began performing Ganga Aarti at the Kacchla Ghat. He credits former district magistrate DK Singh with initiating the Ganga Aarti program that year, an initiative he says brought him and other young people closer to their cultural roots.

Performing Ganga Aarti became a regular practice for Vibhu, an event that filled him with peace and focus. He devoted an hour of his day to this act of worship, dressed in traditional attire, a move that brought him closer to his culture and his roots.

He said that his brother Harshit also shared in his success and on this occasion Vibhu’s mother Sunita Sharma said that parents should focus on their children’s education. Vibhu’s father Harendra Upadhyay was a member of Sri Gangaharathi Seva Samiti Bhagiratha Ghat and talking about his son’s success, he said that his son got a rank in NEET only by the grace of Mother Ganga.

Following in the footsteps of his family, Vibhu aspired to enter the medical field. His journey started early, during his 9th standard, fueling his ambition to become an MBBS doctor. “I am going to become an MBBS doctor,” Vibhu shared with ANI, attributing his impending success to the blessings of Ganga Maiya.
