Stellini was grew up in Italy and spent his teenage years playing for Novara and Spal. He eventually joined Serie C2 outfit Ternana back in October 1996 where he inspired the team to Serie B promotion just two years after joining the club.
By 2002, Stellini made his Serie A debut for Como against Empoli. He soon had a career highlight after signing for Juventus back in 2003. However, Stellanin featured in only two games after suffering a serious leg injury and was eventually sold out to Genoa.
Stellini eventually switched to coaching and worked his way up the ladder. Interestingly, Cristian Stellini has served as Antonio Conte’s assistant manager at both Juventus in 2012 and Spurs since September 2021.
He was handed his first coaching job in 2010 when he became Conte’s assistant at Siena and the pair led the club to promotion to Serie A. While his salary at Tottenham isn’t known, Conte was paid 15 million pounds per year.

Cristian Stellini match-fixing scandal
While serving as a technical assistant at Juventus Stellini was forced to resign after an alleged match-fixing scandal. Following the incident, Stellini suffered a two and a half years suspension.
After serving his ban, Stellini then returned to coaching in Italy becoming a youth coach at Genoa and remaining in the role for two years and then took on his first job as a head coach in 2017 at Serie C side Alessandria.
Once the suspension ended, Stellini joined Lega Pro club Alessandra on a two-year contract in 2017, but got sacked for poor results. However, Antonio Conte decided to hire Stellini again in his managerial staff for Inter Milan during the 2019/20 season. The pair clinched the Scudetto together and then worked together at Tottenham upto Conte’s departure.
