South African cricket player Nandre Burger was born on August 11, 1995 in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, South Africa. The 28-year-old player measures 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) tall. He bats left-handed and bowls left-arm medium-fast.

In the 2015–16 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on February 11, 2016, he made his debut for Gauteng in the first class. On February 26, 2017, he made his List A debut for Gauteng in the CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge for the 2016–17 season. With 19 wickets in seven games, he was Gauteng’s leading wicket-taker in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge competition.
The Cricket South Africa Emerging Squad named him in July of 2018. He was selected for Gauteng’s 2018 Africa T20 Cup squad in September of that year. After six matches and eleven dismissals, he was the tournament’s top wicket-taker.
In September 2019, he was added to the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants team in anticipation of the Mzansi Super League. He was added to South Africa’s Twenty20 International (T20I) team in January 2021 for their series against Pakistan. Prior to the South African cricket season of 2021–2022, he was included in the Western Province squad in April 2021.
