Even though his team was losing 2-1 going into extra time, American international Haji Wright scored the game’s winning goal in the 99th minute to send the Championship club into the Premier League.
Robins was standing close by in his team’s technical area when Coventry defender Jake Bidwell was observed making gestures towards the same ball boy moments before the game’s winning goal.
Shortly afterward, Bidwell recommenced play with a throw-in, which set up Wright’s game-winning goal. Television replays showed the exuberant moments as Robins ran over to greet the ball boy and raised his fist in front of him while yelling.

Who is Mark Robins?
Mark Gordon Robins is an English football manager and former player who is now the manager of Coventry City in the EFL Championship. The 54-year-old was born on December 22, 1969 in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England.

Mark was a striker for Norwich City and Leicester City in the Premier League, which is where he made his name as a player. He has played for teams like Manchester United, Norwich City, Leicester City, Copenhagen, Reading, Ourense, Panionios, Walsall, Rotherham United, Bristol City, Sheffield United and Burton Albion.
