Jeff Sperbeck leaves behind his wife and children

According to the Riverside County Coroner, Jeff Sperbeck, 62, passed away from severe injuries he received in a golf cart accident over the weekend in La Quinta, California.
According to reports, the incident happened on Saturday night while Jeff Sperbeck and John Elway were departing a Stagecoach after party. Sperbeck slipped off the back of the golf cart while Elway was behind the wheel, according to TMZ. After receiving a distress call, CAL Fire emergency personnel raced to the site on Humboldt Blvd.
Jeff smacked his head on the ground, suffering a traumatic brain injury which lead to his death with his wife Cori with him at the time of the accident.

Age 62 Jeff Sperbeck was born on 17 April, 1963 and was 1.75m tall. He is survived by his wife, Cori and children Carly, Sam and Jackson. While not much is known about his wife, she is aged between 60-70 years.
Jeff was an NFL certified contract advisor who represented over 100 NFL football players in his 30-year career.
Jeff’s wife, Cori, and the Sperbeck family told TMZ, “We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved Jeff Sperbeck. He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, son and friend to many and will be profoundly missed by all.”
The family added, “We are grieving this unimaginable loss as a family alongside our dearest friends the Elways and the many other clients Jeff called friends. We are grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support that we have received and ask for privacy for our family at this difficult time.”
Jeff Sperbeck career
Jeff Sperbeck and Mike Sullivan established Sullivan & Sperbeck in Northern California in 1994. Together, Sullivan and Sperbeck had more than 30 years of experience in NFL player marketing and management. Trent Dilfer, Damon Huard, Johnnie Morton, Eric Turner, William Floyd, Joey Porter, John Elway, Jim Plunkett, Ronnie Lott, Mike Bellotti, and Sonny Lubick were among the more than two dozen NFL players, coaches, and retired luminaries on their agency’s roster.
Sullivan & Sperbeck was purchased by the international sports marketing firm Octagon Football in 2001. Sullivan & Sperbeck’s Northern California infrastructure served as the foundation for Octagon’s football division. The director of Octagon football was Jeff Sperbeck. Together with Mike Sullivan, he oversaw the division’s expansion to include more than 80 active NFL players.

In late 2009, Sperbeck founded The Novo Agency after departing Octagon. Hall of Famers John Elway, Ronnie Lott, and Jim Plunkett are currently on the roster of The Novo Agency, along with active players Danny Shelton, Brandin Cooks, Billy Winn, Kenny Bell, Thomas Sperbeck, and John Boyett, coaches Chris Strausser (Indianapolis Colts), Frank Pollack (Cincinnati Bengals), Greg Knapp (New York Jets), and Joe Lombardi (Los Angeles Chargers), as well as former players Joey Porter, Clark Haggans, Dennis Dixon, Ed Tu’amu, Chris Fuamatu Ma’afala, Christian & Fenuki Tupou, Daryn Colledge, Ramses Barden, Joel Dreessen, LaMichael James, and Mike Brisiel.
Sperbeck was engaged in an accident in late April 2025 when he fell off the back of a golf cart operated by John Elway and hit his head in the fall. He passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 62, following a period of life support.
