Indian stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra is well-known for his observational humour on life’s absurdities.

On Tuesday night, comedian Kunal Kamra made fun of Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal once more, accusing him of being “morally more bankrupt than thieves and drug dealers.”

This comment comes after Kamra has been criticizing the ride-hailing company’s electric scooter after-sales service for a long time. On X (previously Twitter), Kamra responded to Aggarwal’s claim that he was thrilled after riding the Ola Electric motorcycle by calling the company’s CEO “the most shameless and insensitive” of the new generation of business executives.

In his post, Kamra wrote as he futher escalated his fight against the Ola Founder and his faulty escooty, “While not responding to the cries of existing customers, he’s here with new schemes to embezzle people of their hard-earned money. He’s morally more bankrupt than thieves & drug dealers, I’d say.”

Kunal’s comments came after Agarwal shared a video of himself riding Ola Roadster, the latest offering from Ola Electric which he described as the “future of motorcycling” in the midst of his horrid products and equally appalling customer service.

36-year-old Kunal Kamra was born on 3 October 1988 in Mahim and raised in Mumbai in a Hindu family with his height at 5 feet 7 inches. Kunal who is a 12th pass pursued a degree in commerce at the Jai Hind College but left college in his second year to begin working as a production assistant at Corcoise Films, Prasoon Pandey’s ad film production company, where he spent eleven years.

After working there for 11 years, he made his debut as a stand-up comedian in 2013 at the famous Canvas Laugh Club in Mumbai and had revealed, “My friend and stand-up comedian Siddharth Dudeja suggested that I try my hand at comedy; he thought I had a knack for one-liners and witty jokes. He mentioned this to me when we were working on one of his sketches.”

He had his first professional show at Blue Frog in 2013 out of pure luck after his friend comedian Karunesh Talwar was supposed to headline the event but he didn’t show up and Kamra was asked to fill in instead.

While his parents names aren’t known, his father owned a pharmacy. Details about his relationship status and if he has a wife or girlfriend aren’t known.

In 2013, Kunal Kamra began doing stand-up comedy with a show at Mumbai’s Canvas Laugh Club. As a result of his satirical portrayal of Indian hyper-nationalism in a 2017 YouTube video, he received death threats.

Together with Ramit Verma, he launched his own talk show, Shut Up Ya Kunal, in July 2017. He made fun of the demonetization of Indian banknotes, the government, and Indians’ attitudes toward the army in a comedy film titled “Patriotism and the Government” that was posted to YouTube on March 1, 2017.

Together with his friend Ramit Verma, comedian Kunal Kamra started a YouTube show called Shut Up Ya Kunal in 2017. While on an IndiGo flight on January 28, 2020, Kamra challenged newscaster Arnab Goswami and asked him to engage in a debate. Kamra had questioned Goswami’s coverage of Rohith Vemula’s suicide and national affairs problems. Following the cancellation of his comedy concerts in Gurgaon, Kamra issued an open letter to the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on September 11, 2022.
