Balraj Singh Ghai who is a businessman and stand up comedian was born on 18 June in Mumbai to Paramjit Ghai and Avneet Ghai in Mumbai and is a Sikh by religion. He is 5ft 10in tall. Ghai attended the Jamnabai Narsee School and later on did his Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Institute of Hotel Management. On 13 May 2018, Balraj got married to Chandni Anand Ghai and the couple is blessed with a son named Tanvir Singh Ghai.

Balraj Singh Ghai began working at ITC Hotels in July 2009 and remained there till June 2013 as an assistant manager in the sales division. He began serving as the director of Mumbai’s Ghai Hotels and Investments Company Private Limited in June 2013.
Ghai established a restaurant and performance space in Mumbai called The Habitat in 2016.
Later, the group broadened its offerings to help artists with lighting and audio engineers, as well as directing the release of content and internet marketing. He then launched The Habitat Canteen and Pind Da Dhaba, two online food delivery kitchens in Mumbai.

He was a member of the sound crew for the YouTube debut of the TV show Shut Up Ya Kunal in 2018. Ghai served as an assistant producer for the Prime Video premiere of the TV special Aalas Motaapa Ghabraahat in 2021.
