ESPN stated on Wednesday that Chelsea and City have reached an agreement on a price for the 21-year-old attacker. According to sources, the total cost is £42.5 million, which includes an initial payment of £40 million and an additional £2.5 million in possible add-ons.

Palmer played all of his youth football at City, where he also made his first-team debut in September 2020. The attacker had a strong start to the season for City, scoring in both the UEFA Super Cup triumph against Sevilla and the Community Shield loss to Arsenal. He had, however, only used one substitution in City’s first three Premier League games of the year.
