Clyde Hedrick In The Texas Killing Fields
The Texas Killing Fields arrived on Netflix on the 29th of November, 2022, and is 3rd entry in Netflix’s Crime Scene documentaries. It has been directed by Jessica Dimmock. It is a three-episode series which investigates a region of Texas on Calder Road that is a patch of land known as the Texas Killing Fields. It earned its name after the bodies of 4 young women got discovered there between 1984 and 1991.
One of these young women was just 16-year-old and she was named Laura Miller who went missing in 1984 after her mother had driven her to a payphone so she could call her boyfriend. Laura’s body was found 2 years later and the discovery sparked a more than 3-decade search for her killer.
Who Is Clyde Hedrick?
Clyde Hedrick was one of the alleged suspects in the case of Laura Miller’s murder. As shown in the Netflix documentary, Hedrick had a lengthy criminal record which included charges of trespassing, theft, possession of marijuana, driving while intoxicated and sexual assault.
In 1996, Clyde was convicted for abusing. Almost 2 decades ahead, in 2014, Hedrick was in prison again after he was found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of 29-year-old Ellen Rae Simpson Beason. Ellen was a woman who was found dead on a dirt road which is in Galveston County, Texas, in 1984.

Now 68 years old, Clyde Hedrick is free man as he was released on parole in 2021 after serving 7 years of his 20-year sentence.
