This year, Saksham Gautam has secured the top spot by obtaining 103.3 marks and is followed by Anirudh Pathak, Yash Jarwal and others.

Faridabad, Haryana born Saksham Gautam, a Class XII student, received an All India Rank (AIR) 1 on the test. He received a score of 103.3 out of 116 and used to go to Delhi Public School (DPS) in Faridabad. Legal studies and liberal arts are among his academic specialties. He is now aspiring to go to the National Law School in Bengaluru where he will pursue the integrated law course and wants to become the CJI one day.

Gautam’s father is a corporate employee in Gurugram while his brother is a graduate from an IIT.

His father first introduced him to the legal profession and other potential career paths while he was in Class VII. He chose to follow his passion in law when in Class IX, despite coming from an engineering background.

He started preparing for the CLAT in Class XI, where he spent the first year studying important legal concepts and the second-year practicing while continuing his academic work. He also received a perfect score of 99 percent on his high school board tests during this time.

“I made an effort to maintain a regular study schedule of three to four hours every day rather than cramming myself with hours.

“My biggest challenge was dealing with low mock scores and distractions such as social media,” Saksham told the media. He has been admitted to the National Law University (NLU) Bengaluru, one of the top legal education institutions in the nation, as a result of his exceptional performance.

Speaking about his achievements, Saksham Gautam explains that he used to study for eight hours every day, 3-4 hours in the morning and 3-4 hours in the evening and had fully cut off any social media use during this period. Nowadays, most people keep smartphones, but Saksham doesn’t have one; instead, he keeps a phone that doesn’t run Facebook or WhatsApp.

He used to study every day in accordance with the study schedule he created. He used to read for three to four hours in the morning and three to four hours at night, but he would also take short breaks to change his mood.
