An unidentified OGC Nice player was reportedly standing 100 meters above the ground on the Magnan viaduct in the early morning hours and threatening to jump. The player, later identified as Alexis Beka Beka, had pulled over on the A8’s hard shoulder and climbed up onto the Magnan viaduct.
Firefighters and police officers began interacting with the distressed person as soon as the authorities acted. Soon after, the team intervened and sent a psychologist to the scene to speak with the player. Additionally, according to reports, his colleagues showed up at the site to support Alexis.
In the end, everyone’s combined efforts were successful, and the player was delivered from his hazardous situation. He was brought to the emergency services and is now deemed safe. OGC Nice postponed all of their media appearances before their Ligue 1 match against Brest on October 1.
