Claire Melendez, a homeless woman hailing from Buffalo has become some sort of a legend after she got featured on the cover of WWCD in a studio album by GxFR. She reportedly died on Tuesday.

As per unconfirmed reports, Claire Melendez got killed after her car got crashed into Buffalo Metro Rail station on East Utica Street. Although WKBW didn’t mention any names. The local news station has reported that the car jumped and then hit a pedestrian on the wall of the metro building.
The person has been identified as Claire, as per local residents who are discussing the incident on Facebook.
Who was Claire Melendez?
There is not much information available about Claire Melendez and she became something of a “Buffalo Legend” after her face was featured on the cover of WWCD, a major label debut from Buffalo rapper Westside Gunn’s hip-hop group Griselda.
This album was released by Gunn, his brother Conway the Machine, and their cousin Benny the Butcher on Shady Records in 2019. It went on to be named one of the best albums and it also featured some A-listers in the music industry like Eminem and 50 Cent.

“My favorite Buffalo Kid. You will be remembered and loved forever,” Gunn wrote on his Twitter with the hashtags #IMMORTAL and #RIP. Claire was featured in the lyrics of many songs, including Gunn’s solo track ‘Connie’s Son.’ “Claire needs a dollar which gave her two, now she wants five,” a line from the song said.
Everybody in this whole city knows who Claire was,” Gunn told Sway in 2019. “She’s like Buffalo mascot, man.”
Claire Melendez has been identified on Facebook as a graduate of Buffalo’s Burgard High School and she completed her graduation in 1993. After her death she went viral on social media, several people who had encountered her in the past have paid tribute to her by uploading pictures and videos of their interaction with her.
