Newton resident Christopher Ferguson was apprehended on Monday night and charged with burglary, murder, assault, and battery with a deadly weapon resulting in serious bodily damage. Following an autopsy that determined Gilda “Jill” D’Amore, 73, had been murdered, the arrest was made.
Once 97-year-old Lucia Arpino, Jill’s mother, and 74-year-old Bruno D’Amore’s autopsies were finished, further charges were anticipated. Police reported that there did not appear to be any prior link between the victims and Ferguson, and evidence of a forced entry into the basement was found.
The crime scene was described as chaotic, with evident signs of struggle, including a blood-covered crystal paperweight and broken furniture. A bloody footprint discovered at the location matched Christopher Ferguson’s location, who just so happened to live nearby, and this provided a breakthrough in the inquiry.
The tragic murders have shocked Newton’s close-knit community as well as its parishioners at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, where several of the victims were members. He is a resident of Newton, Massachusetts, USA. He had previous encounters with law enforcement. He was recently seen on surveillance footage in the area at approximately 5:20 in the morning, absolutely n*de, and seeming confused.
It is still unknown if the video was shot before or after the claimed deaths, despite the fact that it was captured about 100 yards from Christopher Ferguson’s house and four-tenths of a mile from the location of the supposed murders.
