Christian IIzer is an Austrian football manager who was born on October 21, 1977, in Puch bei Weiz, Austria. The 46-year-old measures 1.84 m (6 ft 0 in) tall.ย
A look at Christian IIzer’s careerย
Christian IIzer is currently the manager of Sportklub Sturm Graz, a football club founded in 1909 which is based in Graz, Styria and competes in the Austrian Bundesliga. When he was appointed coach of USK Raiffeisen Puch’s U17 team, he was barely 17 years old, having suffered three cruciate ligament injuries as a teenager.ย
In addition to his job as an electronics specialist, he started his teacher preparation programme. Between 2006 and 2007, he served as a playing manager for the USK Raiffeisen Puch first team. From July 2007 to July 2011, he worked as manager Bruno Friesenbichler’s assistant at TSV Hartberg.
In May 2017, Ilzer returned to TSV Hartberg as head coach. He joined Wolfsberger in 2018 and led the side to qualify for the Europa League group stage for the first time in their history. On May 29, 2019, Ilzer was appointed manager of FK Austria Wien for the 2019โ20 season.ย
On July 17, 2020, he was appointed manager of Sturm Graz. Leading the team to a runner-up finish in both 2021โ22 and 2022โ23, he was named the VdF-Fuรballerwahl Coach of the Season in 2022โ23.ย ย
