Jani Master was born in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh on July 2, 1982. He is married to Ayesha and the couple is blessed with two kids.
The Raidurgam police of Cyberabad booked a zero First Information Report (FIR) against choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, popularly known as Jani Master who is a Muslim by religion. The FIR was filed on the basis of a complaint by the 21 year old, a young dancer from Madhya Pradesh who currently resides in Narsingi. She has also alleged that he forced her to convert her religion and become a Muslim.
The woman alleged that she had worked with Jani on several projects, and he had been abusing her for the past few months and assaulted her many times during their shoots together in different cities, including Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad. She told the police that Jani even abused her at her own residence in Narsingi in Hyderabad.
In her complaint, the survivor said that she came to Hyderabad in 2017 and following her appearance in the popular dance reality show โDheeโ, she got a call from Janiโs team asking her to join their team as an assistant choreographer. She was 16 years old in 2019 when the assault first happened and she joined as Janiโs assistant in 2019.
The police have booked the choreographer under clause (2) and (n) of section 376 (r*pe), criminal intimidation (506) and voluntarily causing hurt (323) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Jani Master started his acting career performing in Telugu movies and on the Telugu dance reality series Dhee on ETV. Later on, he was offered the chance to choreograph the 2009 Telugu movie Drona. He was hired by actor Ram Charan to choreograph the 2012 Telugu film Racha, and he remained in that role for all of his next productions.
Additionally, Jani has choreographed performances for actors including Ravi Teja, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, N. T. Rama Rao Jr., and Ram Pothineni. In addition, he sang a song in honor of Ram Charan.
Salman Khan, a Bollywood actor, hired Jani to choreograph Jai Ho in 2014. In addition, he continues to work on feature films and choreographs award ceremonies.
