Quan Hongchan bio and age
Quan Hongchan who is a biological female is a Chinese diver, national champion, and Olympic champion, who was born on March 28, 2007, in Mazhang District, Zhanjiang, China. She was born to a family of farmers, and she is the third of five children. Hongchan is currently 17 years old and competes in the 10-metre platform and synchronized platform. Quan retained her individual 10 metre platform event title after previously winning it at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Her father was an orange farmer and her mother worked in a factory until a car accident left her in poor health. Chen Ruolin is the coach behind the Paris Olympics star Quan.

Quan Hongchan stands at height of 1.43 m (4โ11โ), and roughly weighs around 39 kg (86 lb).
Career and achievements
Quan Hongchan was first discovered by coach Chen Huaming while playing a lattice game on the school playground in July 2014. She eventually started receiving diving training and by September of that year, she joined the Zhanjiang Sports School in Mazhang. Quan later began her training at the Guangzhou Sports Vocational and Technical College in 2018.
During March of 2018, Quan joined the Guangdong provincial team under coach He Weiyi. Two years later, in October 2020, she won the National Diving Championship in the 10-metre platform event at just 13. Quan Hongchan then joined the national diving team, and during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Quan was the youngest athlete from the Chinese delegation.
Despite her young age, Quan Hongchan won the gold medal in the individual 10-metre platform event on August 5, 2021. She managed to win with an overall score of 466.20 points, and broke the previous Olympic record of 447.70. Quan then won another gold in the team event while representing Guangdong at the 2021 National Games of China. Later in December 2021, Quan participated in the Diving Exhibition Competition in Abu Dhabi, helping Team China win third place.
Back in the summer of 2022, Quan took part in the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, where she won two gold medals in the 10-metre synchronized platform. She also won silver in the 10-metre platform individual event. The following year, at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, Quan won gold in the 10-metre platform and in the 10-metre synchronized platform.
She is now competing at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where Quan has won gold in the 10-metre synchronized platform and also retained her gold medal in the women’s 10 metre platform.
