Teresa Gaye Weatherspoon is am American baskebtall coach as well as a former player who was born on December 8, 1965 in Pineland, Texas, U.S. She is the current head coach of the WNBA side Chicago Sky. The 58-year-old stands 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) tall.

She was the head coach of the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters in addition to being a player for the WNBA’s New York Liberty and Los Angeles Sparks. She was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010, and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019.
Weatherspoon played in the league from 1997 to 2004, mostly with the New York Liberty until joining the Los Angeles Sparks for her final season. She competed in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and earned two medals for Team USA, including a gold one. Additionally, she received two votes for Defensive Player of the Year and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019.
