Who is Chewanthi Perera?
Fashion designer Chewanthi Perera is the creator of the Chewlee Ceylon clothing line. Perera, as previously mentioned, is Dasun Shanaka’s wife, the captain of Sri Lanka. Although her exact year of birth is unknown, she was born on July 12.
Chewanthi said in an interview that they were engaged before he was a cricket player. She revealed:
He was my fiancée even before becoming a cricketer. I am happy to have become the wife of a cricketer like him.”
She explained how they met in the same interview. They dated for two years before getting married:
I was living in Kochchikade. He was from Negombo and our meeting each other was just a coincidence. I was not interested in cricket in those days. I didn’t know that he was playing cricket.”
The couple exchanged vows on September 5, 2020 and Shanaka shared this news by posting a few images on his social media accounts. They got married at the Avanra Garden Hotel in Negombo.
She has managed to live a private life. Chewanthiperera is the handle of her personal Instagram account.
