Ghosting is a popular term where a person suddenly ends all communication and avoids contact with their significant other without any warning or explanation.
Withers had reportedly been a rising star on the Falmouth dining scene, where the Londoner helmed the seafood depot C Salt Wine Bar and Grille and the Brit had even appeared in a 2022 episode of the reality TV show “Chopped” on The Food Network.
Before departing Massachusetts, the chef had “sold a ton of gift cards and then took the money and closed up shop, leaving all the customers and employees out in the dark with unpaid wages and unusable gift cards,” per a TikTok video.
Woman finds her husband who ghosted her and her children
Ashley McGuire, who hails from Massachusetts is a mother of two and was married to her husband, a British man named Charles Withers who ghosted her and her children. Following which she reached out to people online to trace him down. McGuire initially shared a post on Facebook explaining:
Last year, when I was pregnant with our youngest baby, he decided being a husband and a dad wasn’t the lifestyle he wanted anyfore and he ghosted, like gone without a trace. He has one baby he hasn’t seen in over a year, and one he’s never met. He’s moved somewhere out of state and changed his phone number.”
McGuire revealed that she was looking for him so that she could get a divorce. She had been trying to do so for a long time but found it difficult to do without the other party present. McGuire’s post quickly went viral and just after around 14 hours people on Facebook started helping her locate him.
Notably, several women came out claiming that they have matched with him on Bumble and provided details like his address and phone number. Eventually, McGuire discovered through netzine that the missing husband was in Texas. In fact, he was the subject of a discussion in a Texas-based Facebook group: “Are We Dating The Same Guy?”.

Following all the positive developments, McGuire finally posted an update on her Facebook., She stated that she now has “MORE than enough information to locate him”. While making the announcement, she thanked everyone who helped her find him and added how she doesn’t want any type of ill will against him. She came out to urge people not to try and track him down themselves or make any sort of threats against him.
