Chandan Verma has been identified as the man who killed an entire Dalit family in Amethi

Earlier, reports surfaced suggesting a tragic news of a murder of a Dalit family, causing an uproar in Uttar Pradesh. In a tragic turn of events, a Dalit teacher from Uttar Pradesh named Sunil Kumar, along with his wife and two young daughters allegedly killed.

At the time of writing this article, there hasnโt been any information about the suspect or motive behind the murder. As per the media reports, both the UP Special Task Force alongside the Uttar Pradesh Police have been actively looking for the culprits involved.
Reportedly, prior to the brutal murder, Sunil Kumarโs wife, Poonam Bharti, had filed a case against a man named Chandan Verma, accusing him of assault, harassment, and charges under the SC/ST act.
Followed by the FIR filing, Chandan Verma had been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police and was sent to jail. However, after the entire family including Sunil Kumar, his wife, and daughters were shot dead, the authorities started investigating Chandan Vermaโs possible involvement in the case.
The people killed by Chandan are Sunil Kumar (37), his wife Poonam Bharti (32) and their daughter Drishti (6).
About Chandan Verma
Reportedly, Chandan Verma hails from Raebareli and is being accused in the murder case that took place in Amethi. Although, as of now there isnโt much information available about Verma.
However, a few media reports claim that Chandan Verma had been living in a rented house in the Tilla Kot, neighborhood of Raebareli.

He was arrested on the same day after Sunil Kumarโs wife, Poonam Bharti filed a case against him, accusing him of assault, and harassment.
What Did Poonam Say?
Prior to her death, Poonam alleged that on August 18, when she went out to buy medicine for her children, Chandan tried to behave inappropriately with her. When she resisted, he assaulted both her and her husband, hurling abuses and using caste-based slurs.
After the entire Dalit family has been killed, authorities filed a case against Chandan Verma. As per reports, during the investigation, the police find out that the killers walked to Sunil Kumarโs house to carry out the murders.
Reportedly, the killer shot whoever they could find, including Sunilโs 8-year-old daughter and 1.5-year-old daughter, who were allegedly died on the spot. The investigation in the murder case is still ongoing.
