The anti-Semite was seen sneaking around the car, not realizing it was recording him the whole time.

According to what appears to be his LinkedIn profile, Ritenbaugh is an “accomplished sales and operations management professional with 20+ years of international experience in the hospitality and travel industries” and runs a car service company named the Black Car Service in Bucks County.

Police reports of destroyed Tesla vehicles are on the rise, and anti-Musk protests have been held at Tesla showrooms around the country in recent weeks. The tension is not exclusive to the Philadelphia area. The suspect was eventually identified as Chadd Ritenbaugh following an investigation into the incident that occurred earlier this week.

The alleged vandalism happened Monday morning when the Tesla’s owner came home from her workout to find new scratches on the car. A man was seen parking his Lexus next to the Tesla, then slipping behind it and seemingly scratching the car, according to the video she watched from her car’s camera system. Investigators used the video to track down Chadd Ritenbaugh, who was spotted wearing the identical clothes and entering the Planet Fitness gym.

Chadd Ritenbaugh faces two counts of summary harassment and disorderly conduct, along with misdemeanour counts of criminal mischief and harassment. He had not been arraigned as of Friday. This incident comes after four young people were charged with damaging a Cybertruck in Newtown Township.

Shortly after the alleged vandalism occurred, Ritenbaugh checked into the gym using his membership card, which the Central Bucks Regional Police Department found out about. By comparing his membership ID with his driver’s license photo and using video evidence that showed him wearing the same clothing as the guy who was observed scratching the Tesla, authorities were able to verify his identity.

Vandalism of Tesla automobiles has grown to be a worrying occurrence. In nine US states and Canada, there have been at least 80 reports of vandalism or arson incidents involving Tesla vehicles. In response, the FBI released a PSA asking people to report any suspicious activity concerning Tesla automobiles.
