With the late, great Kobe Bryant, the Spanish 7-footer enjoyed the most successful years of his career while playing for the Purple and Gold.
Together, Bryant and Gasol won titles in 2009 and 2010, made it to three straight NBA Finals, and had a tight relationship both on and off the court.

The American has a Bachelor’s degree in business and communication as well as a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California.

McDonnell has served as a broadcast reporter for Fox News and an ABC News sports broadcast reporter between 2010 and 2011.
She is currently employed by the Tess Research Foundation, a company established to assist studies aimed at developing a cure for SLC13A5 epilepsy.
Pau and Catherine got engaged in 2016 and got married in San Francisco in July 2019 in front of family and friends. In July 2022, Pau wrote Catherine an anniversary greeting.

On Tuesday, two of Pau Gasol and Catherine’s children attended the event at Crypto.com Arena. The couple’s daughter, Elisabeth Gianna Gasol, was born in September 2020.
In honour of Kobe Bryant’s daughter, who tragically died in the helicopter crash in January 2020 along with her father and seven other people, their child was given the name after Gianna Bryant.
In November 2022, a boy was also born to the couple.
