Catarina Machado is the wife of the Portugal International Football team’s goalkeeper Diogo Costa. The two got married last year and welcomed a kid together, a son named Tomas in 2022.

Catarina and Costa dated for a few years before the two officially made it to their forever journey.

On her Instagram with the username @acatarina_m98, she has around 17.6k followers as of this writing. The Burnett often shares pictures of her adorable family and updates her followers with their outings. 

Not much is known about her however, she resides in Portugal with her husband and their son. She loves publishing pictures of their vacations and her attendance in different stadiums as she travels to cheer her husband.

A look at Catarina Machado’s husband 

Alongside playing for the national team, Portugal, Diogo Meireles da Costa also plays for Primeira Liga club Porto. 

Costa emerged victorious in the 2019 UEFA Youth League after going through Porto’s youth program and since then, he began his career towards success. 

After earning a domestic double; winning the Primeira Liga and the Taca de Portugal in his debut season; the goalkeeper was promoted from the reserve squad to the first team in 2019.

At the age of 22, he made his debut in the starting XI after leading Porto to a second domestic double and being named to the Primeira Liga Team of the Year in 2021. 

He made his senior international debut in 2021 when he played for Portugal in the UEFA Euro 2024 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The fans of Portugal now have a lot of hopes for the goalkeeper alongside Ronaldo as they face France next, a rematch of the 2016 final.
