Notably, Carter Dallas’ family decided to take this bold and daring adventure seriously, renting out their Scottish home in order to travel across Asia for a whole year. Since setting off on their adventure in August 2023, the three have visited a variety of places, such as Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and now the Himalayas.
Interestingly, Carter’s age did not affect his capacity to handle the demanding circumstances of the Everest hike. The family decided on the spur of the moment to undertake the Everest climb, having already experienced “breathing techniques” and ice-cold baths.
But the family’s journey doesn’t end with mountaineering—it also includes rich cultural encounters and gastronomic explorations. The Dallas family is accepting of all cultures, and Carter Dallas is learning words like “namaste” and “sawadika.”
He now treasures the recollection of hearing the Islamic call to prayer. In addition, Carter Dallas has acquired a taste for foreign cuisine. He tried chicken feet in Malaysia and fish curries in the Maldives and has declared Pad Thai to be his favorite.
As they continue their exciting and enlightening journey, the family is now living in a Thai nature reserve in Khao Sok. They also look forward to future travels to Bangkok and Cambodia.
