Who was Carlos Thomas?

For those who are unfamiliar with Carlos Thomas, let us tell you, Thomas was the father of the footballer, Devin White.

Carlos died in police custody on November 9, at the Parish Detention Facility in Louisiana’s Natchitoches city. He had been in detention since October 2021 due to Federal charges.

The late father of the American footballer was charged for the conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with the intent to distribute it.

Back in November, Thomas, complained of suffering from back pain while he was behind bars. Due to his unstable condition, authorities transported him to the Natchitoches Medical Regional Center.

Carlos passed away at the age of 45 at the Natchitoches Medical Regional Center. Earlier, on Sunday, November 20, his final rites were held at the Civic Springhill Center, Los Angeles.

The California native, Thomas was married to Shameka Grant in 2013 and the duo had a daughter, Kharma Rose Carnegie.

As per a report by Tampa.com, the late father of the footballer owned Platinum Hands Mobile Detailing Services. The brand offered services to the business people, politicians, and professional athletes.

For those who are unaware, let us tell you, White was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2019 NFL Draft as a 5th overall pick in the first round of the draft.

Ever since his selection, the player became the highest drafted defensive as well as the highest selected linebacker.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers contracted the player for a sum of $29.32 million for a total of 4 year on July 20, 2019 with a signing amount of $19.34 million.

White has a total of 91 tackles in his resume along with 2.5 sacks, 3 pass deflections, one interception, 3 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries and 2 fumble return touchdowns.

In his 3 years with the team, White had won a Super Bowl in 2021 and a title of Pro Bowl Player in 2021. He has also recorded a total of 359 combine tackles and 15.0 sacks in 45 matches with his team.
