A Chicago high school baseball umpire named Carlos Rivera was declared dead just after being shot in the face. He got shot after he asked his neighbors to keep it down because he had to get up for work the next morning.

Carlos Rivera who was 50 years old was murdered on the second floor of an apartment in North Whipple Street as per media reports.
According to the officials Rivera had a loud noise issue which kept him up. He later stepped out of his apartment to check and he was shot in the face and body when he asked to keep the volume down. Rivera was taken to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center and he succumbed to his injuries. However no arrests have been made till yet.

Carlos Rivera was a baseball umpire who worked at a Chicago high school. Rivera studied at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and went to Carl Schurz High School according to his Facebook profile.
Rivera also umpired at the Juarez League. Benito Juarez Men’s Baseball League wrote, “Our condolences go out to all friends and family members of Carlos Rivera. With a heavy heart we heard about the news of Carlos’ demise.”They also mentioned that Carlos spent quite a lot of time Umpiring at Juarez League. They mentioned everyone loved him and his game and they will always cherish the moments spent with Carlos. Many players have also given condolence to Rivera’s family and friends personally through their social media handles.
According to his close sources Rivera was a person who would give his last dollar to help even those who may not deserve it. Rivera was the kind of guy who never hurt anyone. This amazing coach is survived by his son and his wife who are demanding the arrest of the culprits.
