On Wednesday, a tragic occurrence occurred at the Siachen glacier, killing one Army commander and injuring three other soldiers as a consequence of a fire mishap. The injured troops have been successfully transported to a hospital for emergency treatment, according to Lt. Col. PS Sidhu, the Defense PRO in Leh.

Unfortunately, Regiment Medical Officer Captain Anshuman Singh could not recover from his serious burn injuries and passed away. Due to their quick air evacuation and following medical attention, the other three troops, who had second-degree burns and smoke inhalation, are currently in stable condition.
The incident happened in the early morning hours, approximately 3 a.m.; however, detailed information on the accident’s cause and circumstances is still awaited. Reportedly, an ammunition stockpile caught fire near Captain Anshuman’s bunker.
Captain Anshuman Singh quickly went into action, showing amazing bravery and tenacity, risking his own life to save as many troops as he could. Despite the dangerous surroundings, he bravely entered the area to look for more survivors.
Tragically, Captain Anshuman never returned from his valiant mission. Despite the fact that his acts of kindness saved many lives, they ultimately claimed his life. The memory of his bravery and sacrifice will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched and the nation he served.

Who was Anshuman Singh?
Anshuman Singh was a brave Indian soldier. He has been in the news because he sacrificed his life to save others in a heroic rescue mission during a fire accident.
He was a resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His father is also in the Indian Army. He was an alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.
In February of this year, he married his childhood sweetheart.

After graduating from college, he joined the Indian Army and started out as an Army Medical Corps officer.
