The peaceful community of Burbank, California, is in a tizzy over repeated incidents involving Calese Crowder, a man with a disturbing history of stalking women with his video viral
Recent revelations on TikTok and Twitter have amplified fears and concerns. Here is more you need to know about the incident.
Who is Calese Crowder of California after video of him stalking women goes viral on TikTok and Twitter
It all began on August 8, 2023, when a TikTok user named Michaela documented a chilling encounter with Calese Crowder at Barnes and Noble. In the now-viral video, Michaela reported Crowder’s strange behavior, including following her and another woman, crouching down and allegedly trying to “smell” them.

“The whole time, I’m thinking I’m fine because he hasn’t said anything or touched me or anything. But then you notice that he goes over and does the same thing to this girl. And he’ll crouch down low and pretend like he’s doing something and then smell,” described Michaela in her TikTok video. When confronted, Crowder tried to brush it off as just “tying his shoe.”
A flood of similar accounts
Upon sharing her story, Michaela was inundated with messages from numerous women in Burbank who recounted eerily similar experiences with Crowder. They identified encounters in various other locations, from Urban Outfitters to Starbucks. This avalanche of shared experiences prompted Michaela to file a complaint against Calese Crowder.
A disturbing history of Calese Crowder unearthed
Further investigation revealed an unsettling pattern. Michaela stumbled upon an official page maintained by California authorities. The page detailed that Crowder had been previously arrested on multiple occasions for a series of unsettling offenses including “peeping, prowling, and residential burglary activity within the City of Glendale.”
In a span of 18 months between April 2020 and September 2021, several Burbank residents reported unnerving late-night incidents with Crowder. The most notable case involved a woman catching Calese Crowder peeping through her bedroom window, leading to his arrest. A mere fortnight later, another report was made, stating a man “matching Crowder’s description” was observed spying through a kitchen window. Authorities confirmed it was indeed Crowder, leading to another arrest on September 23, 2021.
Social media ablaze with concern
Michaela’s video ignited a firestorm of reactions across social media platforms. Twitter user TizzyEnt even compiled a comprehensive warning video for Burbank residents. The subsequent flood of comments mirrored a collective sentiment: the community’s shock and dismay. The phrase, “That’s beyond disturbing,” resonated repeatedly.
Yet, despite his questionable past, Calese Crowder remains at large, once again reportedly stalking women and indulging in his haunting habits in Burbank. Both Michaela and local law enforcement have yet to issue updates, leaving many in suspense and fearing for their safety.
With a community on edge and social media as the amplifying megaphone, all eyes are on the Burbank authorities to ensure safety and justice for its residents.
