A sad occurrence that took place in Key West, Florida, in the early hours of June 17, 2023, led to the death of 30-year-old Tyler Kinnon Nulisch. The person accused of shooting Nulisch inside his home was found to be Brittany Holbrook, Nulisch’s girlfriend, who is 33 years old.

After drinking all night, the altercation started to take place and turned into a fight. At about 2:45 in the morning, a house on Avenue F in Big Coppitt Key called the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in distress to report a medical issue.
When the police came, they saw Brittany Holbrook holding Nulisch while he bled heavily on the living room floor. Nulisch was taken to the Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island while still alive and breathing. Tragically, at 3:46 a.m., he was pronounced dead.
According to the arrest complaint, Brittany claimed to have trouble remembering what happened before the incident. She just remembered going to bed with him and waking up holding him after he had suffered serious injuries.
Brittany Holbrook also reportedly claimed that Nulisch had strangled her during the confrontation. However, authorities found no evidence of injuries to her throat or broken blood vessels in her eyes, contradicting her statement.
Despite Brittany’s denials, a 9mm pistol, a bullet shell, and other evidence were found close to the crime site. Brittany’s alibi also contradicted Nulisch’s dying words, as reported by his roommate, Jordan Kinn, who heard the couple fighting and found Nulisch covered in blood. Nulisch allegedly told Jordan, “That b*tch shot me in the back.”
