The incident took place as the couple were disembarking from their plane. The video quickly went viral, sparking all kinds of online speculation. In response, the French government downplayed the moment, and called it a playful and affectionate gesture. Meanwhile, President Macron described the whole exchange as harmless horseplay. Brigitte Macron bio and age
Brigitte Macron, born Brigitte Marie-Claude Trogneux, is the First Lady of France who was born on April 13, 1953, in Amiens, northern France with her height at 5 feet 6 inches.
She is a French former teacher and wife of Emmanuel Macron, who is the current president of France and co-prince of Andorra. Brigitte is currently 72 years old, and she was born in a well-known family of chocolatiers, and she was the youngest of six children. Her parents were the owners of the famous Jean Trogneux brand of confectionery shops. From an early age onwards, Brigitte showed a love for literature, art, and theatre.
Education
Brigitte studied literature and later obtained the CAPES teaching certificate, for teaching French and Latin in secondary schools across France.
Brigitte Macron has a Master of Arts degree and a secondary school teaching qualification in French language and literature and began her career in Paris, before teaching at Collège Lucie Berger in Strasbourg.
She returned to Amiens in 1991, where she taught French and Latin at Lycée La Providence and in 2007, she moved to Paris to teach at Lycée Saint-Louis de Gonzague. She stopped her teaching career in 2015.
Profession
Brigitte started out her professional career as a press attaché at the Pas-de-Calais Chamber of Commerce. She later then transitioned into education, and started teaching French and Latin in Paris and Strasbourg. She officially quit her teaching profession in 2015 to fully support Emmanuel’s public life.

Brigitte Macron first met Emmanuel Macron during the early 1990s when he was just a 15-year-old student in her literature and theater class at Lycée La Providence. Over time, the pair quickly deepened their relationship into a romantic one, despite a significant age gap and societal backlash. Around 2006, she divorced her first husband, who was a banker named André-Louis Auzière, and married Emmanuel Macron the following year in 2007. She has since played a critical role in Macron’s political journey, helping him write speeches and shaping campaign strategy.

Brigitte Macron has three children from her first marriage: two daughters named Laurence and Tiphaine, and a son named Sébastien. All of her children have also notably supported Macron’s political campaigns and maintained a close relationship with him.
