For sporting a rainbow armband in favor of LGBTQ+ rights, US citizen and football enthusiast Brian Davis was removed from Al Thumama Stadium by Qatari police while USMNT vs. Iran game was going on.

Journalist Rasmus Tantholdt from TV2 in Denmark posted a Davis video on Twitter. Subsequently, Davis was able to work out a solution with law enforcement, and he later uploaded a photo of himself wearing the rainbow armband while watching the game from the stands. Reuters also featured his photo.
