Boyce Kametra Lee, a registered black nurse, has come under fire following the release of a contentious Facebook post in which she purported to have intentionally harmed white patients while working at Prairie State College in Chicago, Illinois. Many users have accused her of making racial statements in screenshots of her comments that have gone public.
According to Boyce’s Facebook account, she lives in Chicago and studied Certified Nursing Assistant and Patient Care at Prairie State College and is currently studying Registered Nurse-Associates of Science in Nursing at Prairie State College.
Social media users report investigations by Prairie State College and Illinois regulators, though no official statements have been released with a GoFundMe campaign having been set up by Boyce as well asking for funds after her alleged post went viral.
This Monday, Prairie State College released a statement acknowledging that it is aware of the allegations made by a former student. But Boyce Kametra Lee was not named by the institute. An investigation has been started by the campus police.

“An alumnus of Prairie State College has alerted the college about recent remarks and allegations made on social media. Our Campus Police have responded by opening an investigation and referring the case to the Chicago Heights Police Department for additional consideration.
“We want to reassure our community that we take all such matters very seriously, even though we sincerely hope that these allegations are unfounded,” the college wrote in a Facebook post.

According to Florida police, a home health care nurse repeatedly taped her “nonverbal” patient’s mouth before tearing off the tape, committing “heinous” acts of abuse.
The St. Cloud Police Department stated in a news release on May 8 that the 18-year-old patient’s facial injuries were the reason for the inquiry. The victim’s condition “leaves her unable to defend herself,” according to investigators.
