She was born on June 7, 1956, in Morristown, New Jersey, U.S. Her father’s name was arborist Edward J. Bakley, and her wife’s name was Marjorie Lois Bakley. She also had two siblings named Margaret Lisa Bakley and Joe Bakley, and one half-brother named Peter Carlyon.
At 16, she chose to leave high school and attend the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York City to pursue a profession in acting and modeling.
Bonny Lee Bakley married 11 times. Over the years, she married Evangelos Paulakis (from 1971 to 1971), Paul Gawron (from 1977 to 1982), Robert Moon (from 1984 to 1987), DeMart C. Besly (from 1988 to 1988), Joseph Brooksher (from 1992 to 1992), William Webber (from 1993 to 1993), E. Robert Telufson (from 1994 to 1994), Glynn H. Wolfe (from 1995 to 1995), and John Ray (from 1996 to 1998). At last, she married Robert Blake in 2000.

Bonny Lee Bakley started a mail-order company where she sold nude photos of women, including herself, to support herself. Furthermore, she published “lonely hearts” ads in periodicals looking for a “male companion”.
She soon acquired enough cash from her business dealings and con games to purchase multiple homes in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as one mansion outside of Los Angeles. Using the stage name Lee Bonney, she attempted to make it big in Hollywood as a singer and actor, but she was not successful.
Cause of death of Bonny Lee Bakley
Bonny Lee Bakley was shot and killed in May 2001 while seated in Robert Blake’s parked automobile outside a restaurant in the Los Angeles region. Blake was accused of murdering Bakley, encouraging murder, conspiring, and engaging in unusual circumstances like lying in wait in 2002.
However, Blake was declared not guilty of the offenses by a jury in March 2005. Seven months later, in a wrongful death case filed by Bakley’s children against Blake, he was determined to be at fault. Bakley’s murder has not been officially solved.
