The Sun reports that in the last days of the January transfer window, Mauricio Pochettino’s team will enter the competition to sign Wharton. The report also suggests that Blackburn has reportedly turned down a deal of approximately £25 million and has already turned down one from Crystal Palace that was reportedly worth around £18.5 million.

A look at Adam Wharton’s career so far
Wharton signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Blackburn Rovers in May 2022, his first professional contract, with an option to extend through 2025. After being selected in the starting lineup for a 4-0 EFL Cup first-round victory at Ewood Park over Hartlepool United, Wharton made his professional debut on August 10, 2022.
Wharton made his league debut against Stoke City on August 27, 2022, substituting for Joe Rankin-Costello at halftime. He played his first 90 minutes of league action on August 31, 2022, against Blackpool, and was named Player of the Match for his incredible effort. The youngster scored the team’s first goal in a victory over Birmingham City on October 22, 2022.
He has participated in 29 games so far this season and has received caps for the Three Lions Under-20 team.
