Mariya Agapova, born on April 7, 1997, in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan has emerged as a prominent figure in women’s MMA. Widely known by the moniker Money Mashka, she has competed in the flyweight division and spent a notable part of her career with the UFC before transitioning to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Agapova trained out of American Top Team and was guided by coach Roger Krahl from 2021 onward.
Mariya’s martial arts journey reportedly began at the age of eight, driven by a desire to protect herself. She later pursued an education in physical training for children, graduating from a college focused on that discipline. Before making waves internationally, she built her early MMA resume across Russia, China, and Kazakhstan, maintaining an undefeated 6–0 record before appearing on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019.

Though she lost her bout against Tracy Cortez via unanimous decision, the performance opened doors to bigger opportunities. Following her appearance on the Contender Series, Agapova joined Invicta FC. She made a statement with a submission win in her debut and earned a Performance of the Night bonus with a first-round TKO in her second outing. However, a car accident in early 2020 forced her to withdraw from a scheduled bout, temporarily halting her momentum.
In February 2020, she officially signed with the UFC and debuted against Hannah Cifers in June. Her victory—secured with a head kick and a swift submission—earned her another Performance of the Night award. But her next bout against Shana Dobson didn’t go her way, as she suffered a second-round TKO loss, marking one of the biggest betting upsets in UFC women’s history.
Agapova bounced back in 2021 with a submission victory over Sabina Mazo, again earning performance honors. However, her UFC tenure became rocky with consecutive losses to Maryna Moroz, Gillian Robertson, and Luana Santos. Following her July 2024 defeat to Santos, it was reported that she had been released from the UFC roster later that month.
Outside the octagon, Agapova also explored professional grappling. She competed at Pit Submission Series 5 in May 2024 but lost via heel hook submission to Helena Crevar. In August 2024, she signed with BKFC, setting the stage for a new chapter in her combat career. Her bare-knuckle debut was scheduled for June 21, 2025, where she faced fellow former UFC fighter Jessica Eye at BKFC 76.
Mariya has a net worth of $100,000-500,000 with her even tattooing to earn money between fights.
